Linksys Wrt54g2 wireless router
April 27, 2010 at 07:23:00
Specs: Windows 7, AMD X3/4 GB
Recently my family bought a new Motorola
SB5101 Cable Modem since our old modem
died. After hooking up the new modem and
giving our ISP the new modem's MAC address
we got our internet signal. BUT when you hook
the modem into our Linksys router
(WRT54GS) we are not getting an internet
signal. Works fine going from PC to Modem,
but we have 3 laptops in this house and need
the wireless connection. I'm not sure what is
wrong now since the router is not receiving
the internet connection from the new Modem.
Please help.

You may need to clone a workstation's mac address to the wan interface. Usually in the wan config page there is a clone pc mac or use workstation mac address button.

Thanks for your response, got it working. Just a quick reboot on
all devices and PC did the trick.
