hello everyone,
right now i have a wireless network through my house which i access with my laptop. I also have a desktop in a place where i cant run a cable to it.
i am wondering if this is possible...
my laptop would be connected to the net with wireless, I would make a home network with my laptop being the main comp, then with my desktop connected to the laptop with a network cable, allow my desktop to acess the internet (through the laptop network).
something similar to corporate networks that go to a central server then access the internet from there
im not sure if this is possible, but if it is how can i do it. im just trying to save buying a wireless card for my desktop.
thanks in advance

It may be possible to do this using ICS (internet connection sharing)..
However, if that laptop ever dies then your PC wouldn't be able to access the internet.
It seems to me it would be better to buy a $10 - $20 USB or PCI wireless NIC to put into the PC.

If you can't use ICS because of it's IP range, consider Analogx's free proxy. Use it's readme file to configure.
