Hi, for my courses at sixth form i need to be able to print masses of documents, especially over the next few months. By some of the teachers i have been allowed to use the schools facilities to print out the documents instead of using my own resourses at home.
What i would like to find is how to connect to the school printers from home to be able to print out the work then collect it from the school, would anyone be able to help me with this please?
I would be able to do this myself but i dont have alot of spare time on my hands to be able to find this out for myself, so if anyone could help me with this i would be most gratefull!
I doubt anyone can help you with this because we don't know what is the school computer & network resources use policy and whether what you want to do is permitted.
The best thing you can do is discuss it with the school IT department.
I've looked through the computer usage policy before, when we enter sixth form we are made to read about three pages of usage policies for the computers and i'm positive that nothing like this was mentioned. Also i am only permitted to use the schools resourses at my home school (sixth form = crap about travelling between 3 different schools for work), and my tutor gave me permission to use them, so i would think that this would be allowed.
No i am a student, i just thought it would be easier for me to be able to do it from home, the teachers said i could use their resources so i assume that this would still be permitted.
Oh well, thanks for the help anyway - i'll see if i can manage to get everything printed in the spare 10 mins i get at my home school three days a week.
