Lately when other users upload music from me on Kazaa lite, their upload speed starts out nicely but immediately after, the upload speed takes a constant dive. I took a packet loss test and boy did I fail!! Any ideas as to what I can "tweak"? Would an old cable wire possibly cause a bad upload speed??

Really there is nothing you can do, the problem lies mostly to the wiring behind your computer which is not anything you can fix. What you can do is:
For dial-up: set up a constant bandwidth filter in Kazaa this can be done in the options menu upgrade to DSL/Cable
For Cable/DSL: Make sure if your using a router that the router allows kazaa to access the ports it needs. You can also go to your network settings and make sure full duplexing is enable and it is auto sensing 10/100 Speeds.
