I have a linksys router with and uplink port and a D-link wireless that has no uplink, how do I set up the uplink? I have tried going from Linksys uplink port to D-link WAN port but get no connection out of the D-Link

I had to set up my Microsoft wireless Base Station up using a straight through cable from the Uplink Port of my linksys router to port number 1 on the Wireless Base station.
I have a Host Client configuration so I had to configure My wireless Base Station as a switch first, while it was connected directly to a computer, and then add it to my Network in the above manner.
You don't mention if you have a P2P setup or a Host/client setup.

Anyway. Hope this helps you out.

When connecting two like devices (computer - computer, switch - switch, router - router...) use a crossover cable. The sell them everywhere, like best buy. Plug one end into the internet port on a router, and the other end into a network port.
