Is there a way to upgrade the adapter in my laptop to an n compliant one to work with the n router? I have clear as my provider with 4g and I sure would like to be able to use the speed that offers. If it is possible what do you recommend?

It's not likely you could upgrade the built in network adapter. But if you have one or two PCMCIA slots you could alway buy a wireless N adapter PCMCIA card, disable the onboard and install the new one.

It matters not how straight the gate,

I am the captain of my soul.
