For any users of Acronis True Image, is it possible to add extra data to an existing image, as opposed to having to create a brand new image with the the new data addition? Can such a thing be achieved in Norton Ghost?

On newer versions of Acronis, you can create differential or
incremental images,

Why don't you go to the Acronis & Ghost websites.
