unable to send mail from solaris terminal

May 22, 2009 at 04:11:08
Specs: Solaris
I have to send email from a Solaris terminal to my mail account. For this I have used the below command:
mailx -s "Subject" <email-id> < emailmessage

I have also verified using svcs -a | grep -i mail on the terminal, sendmail is disabled.
I have also enabled the sendmail to online using /etc/init.d/sendmail start. Still the mail is not recieved to my mail account.

This would only work on a lan. Contact your system admin.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
