February 22, 2001Now I can see the 2 ME machines from all four Win 98 machines but cannot access them. Still cannot see the members of the network from the ME Machines.
I guess most folks wonder why not take machines to Win 98SE and forget Win ME, Principle I guess......

I think I have detected problem with my Win ME networking problem. I think it is the fact that in my Samsung SC1200TX NIC driver file I see Driver inf files for everything except WinME and Win2000. Since WinME is not dos oreiented OS is it possible to load Win40 inf driver> I have not been able to locate a driver specifically for WinME in the driver package. It is installing the Win98 inf file. Still groping for a lead to make my two ME machines work on the existing network as did previously.

those cards will not work with ME and 2000. They have an intel chip which makes your system think they are intel cards. they'll work on 98 tho.
