I have a desktop accer with a windows/2003 OS installed. No domain, it is member of a workgroup with 4 desktops connect to the switch. When I go to the windows 2000 desktop I cannot connect to the server. the Desktop is also part of the workgroup. I have shared to everyone and gave full access in security to every for the files I want to see from the desktop. I have created same administrator username an same passwords in both server and desktop. Yet, I am not able to get to the server. I can ping the server but I do not have ways to see it in my network connection. I get a path no found when I go to the run and type \\server01 (the name of the server) can you help? Thank you!

Try the same command using the IP of the server instead of the name (ex: \\192.168.0.10\share) and see if that doesn't work.
