The toshiba laptop (techra MV) that i have is unable to detect any wirless networks. The Device Manager shows no conflicts. Seems to work fine. The Wireless button on the outside is switched ON. The IP address is set to "Obtain IP Automatically".
But when i am within reach of a wireless router, there is absolutely no detection. Does it pop-up automatically? Or do i have to click somewhere to search and detect networks?
Would really appreciate if someone could help me on this.

You need to double click the little wireless icon of your device (located down by the clock on the taskbar, or the utility of the laptops wireless device) and this should give you a list of available networks to connect to. Try that and post back.

first, you have to see the wireless network icon down right in the system tray next to the system clock, if it's there just double click it or right click it then choose see available wireless network and then choose the one you want.or you might see the small ican with a red cross on it stating cable unplugged in this case make sure that you don't have any security on the router such as MAC address filter for example.
i hope that this help, try it and re-post for further help
