Unable to connect

Specs: Windows Vista
(Sorry for long message) Any help appreciated , have tried my utmost but don't really know what I'm doing :( All I wanted to do was change my password for my Sky Router. Went onto, changed it then clicked Apply. Well then it starts. Connection drops, and get message showing on my SKY***** "The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network".

Windows Diagnostics message "The wireless settings on this computer do not match the settings on SKY*****".

Also get "The network adapter "Wireless Network Connection" is not connected.

So I have tried....
(via connecting with ethernet which is ok) back into and changed the password back to what it was. No success.
Gone through steps for 'Reset network adapter "Wireless Network Connection" - No success
Gone through steps for Automatically get new IP Settings for the network adapter "Wireless Network Connection" - No success.
Reset router (via using pin in small hole) - This is where I am up to, I deleted the Sky Router then set up new connection - I now have Limited / Local connectivity only.

Please help with (if possible) non-techinal words lol.

Thanks :(

You might want to first try deleting the wireless network on your laptop and then reconnecting to it. It's possible your laptop is trying to use the wrong password because it got messed up with the changes you made.

If that doesn't work, I would try resetting the router to factory defaults, reset it up and use a different name for your WLAN and a different password for it too. Then connect with your laptop.
