Comment: My PC is connected to a wireless router through a Linksys WMP11 wireless PCI card. I also have an SMC 2404WBR wireless router, which is connected to the cable modem. I can surf the Internet with no problem, but why can't I play online games? By the way, my router's firewall is enabled, when I disabled it, I still can't connect to the game server. The online game that I am trying to play is called Redmoon. Not only that I can't connect to the Redmoon game server, it is true for other online games that i tried to play. When i visited www.flash-game.net to play the shockwave games. There is an error message that says: "Network error. Please check your internet connection and try again". But I am already connected to the internet through the wireless connection to my router which is connected to a cable modem for Internet access. I tried disabling the router's firewall, but the same problems still occured. When I used my uncle's PC, which is hard-wired to the wireless router to play the online games I mentioned, there is no problem at all. Why can't I connect to the game server with my wireless connection to the router? I need help.... Pls help me....

Reply: (edit)Does your cable modem have a firewall? If it does, try disabling the firewall for your cable modem. I don't know if this works but I suggest reposting at the Gaming Section, or the Windows XP section.

Reply: (edit)My uncle and I share the same router at home. My cable modem has got no firewall. If it has, my uncle's PC couldn't have connected to the game server.
