Unable to access Virgin Media router settings

January 7, 2013 at 05:10:40
Specs: Windows 7

I am trying to enable UPNP on a Virgin Media Super Hub, I have tried using both the IP addresses provided by Virgin media (192.168.0.1 and 192.168.100.1) but regardless of which browser I use the page constantly fails to load. Any other ideas on how I can get round this?

I would try a factory reset on the unit. Information on how to do that should be in the manual. Once reset, I would try to connect to the management interface again according to the manual's instructions. If you still don't succeed, there may be a problem with the unit.

If it's new and/or still under warranty, I would have it replaced. If it's not, you'll probably have to buy a replacement.

192.168.0.1 is the correct default setting for the SuperHub so resetting is the first option - instructions on how to do it are HERE. As you probably know, you cannot just buy & replace the superhub, they are all supplied by Virgin and individually tied into your cable line, so if you are still having problems then contact Virgin support.
