I tried crossover ethernet for data transfer between two lappies, one with W2K pro and the other XP Home SP1. From my W2K lappy, I am unable to open the folders residing in the XP lappy. I got this message: " Not Accessible. Not Enough server storage is available to process this command."

When I used the same w2k lappy to crossover with another lappy also with XP Home SP1, I managed to successfuly transfer data between each other. In both cases, I have disabled the firewalls of the 3 lappies.

This crossover is extremely time consuming, but the main advantage is that the data transfer is much faster than sending to an USB external drive enclosure and then re-sending it to the other puter.

I would appreciate hearing from your experience in a similar case.

Thanks.
