Hi Everyone,
This is my first Message on this forum. I want to setup two private Class C networks 192.168.0.1/32 and 192.168.1.1/32 such that workstations on both networks can see each other. What should be the settings for the static route.

Nommy.

Network (1) 192.168.0.0/32

Network (2) 192.168.1.0/32

You will want to get your hands on a "real" router, and not a SOHO Router to do this. Although it may be possible with a SOHO router, it would be much easier and efficient with a higher-class L3 device.

If you were to use a device such as a Cisco device, as soon as you assigned each interface an IP Address, e.g. 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1, routing would begin immediately assuming some basic configurations.

Here is an example of an assumed and generic static route for your proposed setup.

ip route 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0 <interface> or <gateway>

ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 <interface> or <gateway>
