Hi everyone :
My situation is too complicated but I will make it easy to be understandadle.Sorry if i did not provide the sufficient information. Please let me know.

here is a simple ASCII diagram

CAble modem
|-->DlinkRouter Di-604 (iprange 192.168.0.X)
|--> Dlink Switch DSS-5+
|->Trendnet Router TEW432BRP(IP range 192.168.1.X)

The above shows how my home network is constructed. And the below shows the explanation :

All routers works giving out DHCP IP's.

There are 3 computers conected to the Dlink router . Each of those 3 computers have 2 ethernet card one configred to DHCP of the Dlink router , the other one is configured static ip (7.0.0.x)conected to the Dlink Switch

So that is 3 computer conected to the Dlink router(Dinamic) and the same time to the Dlink Switch (static)

The TrendNet router is conected to the Dlink Switch . There is 2 computers to the Trendnet router(reason to use Trendnet router is because is wireless and wired , and in the summer i whant to go outside to use my laptop )those 2 computers conected to the TrendNet router have only one ethernet card configured as Dinamic.

Now what I wish to happen is the fallowing:

Trom one of the computers conected to the TrendNet router i will like then to conect to the computers that are conected to the switch. Why ? because when i install games i doit via the network to save money by not wasting burning medua. This way the computer that is conected to the TrenNet router will be conected to the Switch and have a better speed.

i did something like giving a dinamic ip to the computers conected to the TrendNet router and then add a alternate static ip but it dosent work becasue alternate ip is for when the dhcp is down the the computer will use the alternate ip.

Is there such thinkg I can do to give one ethernet card 2 IP's one static (7.0.0.x) and one dinamic from the TrendNet router , so that this way one ethernet card would participate in two networks (192.168.0.1) and (7.0.0.X)??

Extra information :

The computers from the Dlink router that have 2 Ethenet card can conect to each other via the Dlink Switch and Router. I have re-route the route configuration so that when i'm listening to streaming music with the dinamic configured ethenet and i'm installing games the game data will go thru the Swich and smoth. i whant to do the same with the TrendNet router computers.

thanks you guys for your GOLD time.

No, if you configure a network card for DHCP, it only uses DHCP.

The only way to manage this is to configure both adresses manually.
In this way, you can configure more then one ip address to one network card and it works.

or make it just one network with one ip subnet. Only the router attached to the modem would be dishing out dhcp.

design is simple.
crossover cable from router1's lan port to one or router2's lan ports. do static ip assignments to router1 and 2 like .1 and .2. Only .1 is the gateway. Exclude those ip addresses from dhcp so there is no conflict. You can manage both and access, share between all attached units.

Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Given your diagram, I would suggest reconfiguring your network.

According to: http://www.pcclub.com/product_detai... , the Trendnet also has 4 LAN ports. Get the DI-604 out of there, and use only the Trendnet!!!!
