Hi!
I have delicate problem.. I have a two computers connected to internet through a SMC barracuda router with firewall. The DHCP of the router assigns ip-adresses to the two computers and it works fine.

BUT there is a third computer connected to one of the two computers having windows 98. This computer has two networkcards: one with flat TP and one with BNC coax. Both running TCP/IP. (I made a sketch)

How may I configure the second computer so that even the third can recieve an IP from
the DHCP? Bridging? IP forwarding?

Is it possible?

PLEASE HELP!

Install a 10/100MB NIC in the WIN98SE box and connect it directly to the router. The NIC should be about $15 and accept an 8p8c,(RJ-45), patch cord.

Thanks for your reply!

It would be a good solution if the third computer wouldn't be located 100m away
in a different building. I have to use the
coax cable unfortunately...

Any suggestions how I may configure the
computer with two NICs? Or is there any
adapter on the market that converts
a TP(RJ-45) into a BNC coax?

/eric
