Comment: I have two devices I use to connect to two different networks. One network I need to be connected to in order to get my e-mail from our Outlook Exchange server. This network does not allow any outbound connections. There is another network over wireless that allows outbound connections. How do I configure windows to be connected to both but have programs use a different connection depending on what they need? For example, I want to FTP out to a web server using the wireless, but still have connectivity on the wired net so I can continue to receive e-mail.

Reply: (edit)Have you discussed this with your network administrator? Doing so could put you in violation of the corporate security policy [loose your job] as well as opening a unsecure doorway into the corporate network. Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search

Reply: (edit)As above if it applies. There are extensions to firefox and similar apps to select proxy's (gateways). You could write a proxy pac file that should work. I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
