Two computers, same email address

I have two computers attached to the same (gmail) POP3 mail server: 1) a desktop running XP; and 2) a laptop running Vista. On both, Outlook Express is configured to "Leave a copy of messages on server," yet new messages are received on one of the computers (usually the Vista one) only. What have I done wrong?

If both are configured to leave a message on the server they should both download the messages. But the messages should still remain on the server.

From what you describe it would appear the vista outlook configuration is not set to leave the message on the server.

Or the isp does not support leaving messages on the server. You might want to ask them if they support this outlook feature or not.
