turning wireless signal into wired

Specs: Windows 7
Sorry if this is a stupid question, i'm a bit computer savvy, but when it comes to networking i'm clueless. I have a wireless router in another room and would like to retransmit the internet connection as a wired connection here in my bedroom to multiple computers. I am also interested in networking the computers together for file sharing and maybe some data backup purposes. If i could do all that with one device that would be awesome. if not, it's ok. I didn't know if what i'm looking for is an access point or what. I do have a 5-port switch which i know i can use to network stuff together. but i still need something for the wireless. I would like to stay away from using the wireless to do the networking since I don't have wireless cards in all of the pcs and i have a lot of ethernet cables around. If anybody can give me some tips or point me to a good guide or something that'd be great. Thanks.

Google "Wireless Bridge" as somewhere to start.
Some routers can be set in bridge mode or you can get a specific bridge device.
