All of a sudden I have no wireless Internet connectivity on my Netgear 4 port wireless "G" router. Everything works perfectly wired (ethhernet). Vista tels me "Wireless capability on this computer is turned off" (I certainly did nothhing to turn it off.)
> Turn on wireless capability
This can be done by using a switch, which is ususlly found on the front side of the computer, or a function key combination.
Click here to close this dialog box. What switch or function key is Vista talking about?

if there is no physical switch on the laptop
the in services go to wireless service, see if its set to auto and started.
Ignore the message. Doesn't mean anything. Programmers idea of a joke, I'll bet. In device manager is the wireless card enabled? In lan properties is the wireless enabled?
Is it the router, laptop hardware or vista?
If you have a friend who can connect wirelessly to your router we can eliminate the router.
Any new software installs? Last time you ran an virus and spyware checker? Recent vista update? I had to go back on one because is hosed my wireless networking. Loaded a deterministic lan driver that crashed on bootup.
Just looking for clues at the scene of the crime :-)
Are you ready for where Microsoft wants you to go today?
