This is my first time trying to set this up, and says that it is trying to obtain an ip address, but it goes for ever then states it can't find one. What am I doing wrong! Thanks for the help in advance.
The answer depends on the type of internet connection as well as your ISP. It may also be the case that your Modem is configured to the mac address of the computer and in order for the router to be recognized as a valid client you have to clone the PC Mac address in the router. You may be able to call your ISP and ask if there are any special settings required in the router. They may or may not help. My ISP doesn't like to answer any questions beyond the modem.
