Trying to print from wireless laptop to pc

I reviewed the instructions for sharing a printer when one has 2 pc's (http://www.computing.net/answers/networking/connecting-2-computers-to-1-printer/18261.html#postfp). Both my wireless laptop and desktop with the printer run winXP. I followed the instructions given for setting up a network printer on the laptop, but when I get to Browse for Printer, I do not see the desktop. The desktop is set to share for printing and I believe I have everything set correctly. Any advice on how to see the desktop/printer from my laptop? Thanks!!

Doesn't sound like you shared the printer.
Enabling file and print sharing is the first step.
Next step is sharing the printer
