I have a server runnign NT with a shared folder. and i am trying to map a network drive from a windows ME machine to that folder. Both machines are on the same ip ranges, meaning if i go to network places i can see all the computers. When i try to map a network drive using an XP computer it works fine, prompts me for a username and password and then connects. But wheni try the same for this ME machine, it asks for a password. but does not give me any place to enter user name, only password. so i get an error message. how to i work around this, thanks in advance.

create the same user & pass that you are using on your xp machines on the ME machine and login as that, then try to access the server
