Solved Trying to connect TL-WR740N to Windows 7 PC

Specs: Windows 7
no idea what I'm doing and the pdf downloads are for Windows XP so help needed, there's nothing mor I can add as I don'tknow anything...

The quickstart guide mentions Windows 7 as well, but that's just when you need to change things after installation. If you run the CD, or download and run the Easy Setup assistant, then that runs in its own window and is not dependent on which version of Windows you have,

Simply connect your computer to the router by network cable.
Start the computer.
Open your internet browser and type in
You should get the routers login window, where you have to enter admin for both username and password. Both are in lower case.

After that, you get into the Quick Setup.
