I've been having trouble with my network lately. I think this is a router issue. My reason being is the I run TightVNC on all my computers and when I connect to my main PC I can't move the mouse or use the keyboard. I also play Command and Conquer 3 and I have all the settings right but I can't seem to play a network game because it says connection timed out. Also, I have some trouble with my Network Neighborhood. Sometimes I can't access my other computers on the network. I know the settings are right because I've been using them for the longest time. My router is a WPN824v2. I haven't updated the firmware in a few months and sometimes I loose my wireless connection when I downloading torrents, but it will reconnect right away.

What you reported is the symptoms of the problem. You would need to test to prove your suspicions.

Start with any router logs. Use other network tools to see network usage and bandwidth percentages and maybe protocols.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

I may be misunderstanding, but from your post it appears you're using TightVNC to connect from PC to PC within your LAN........is this correct?

If I'm correct, I recommend you remove or disable TightVNC and start using RDP to remote into your other LAN PC's. TightVNC most certainly isn't necessary for mapping network drives between PC's. It's entirely possible TightVNC is what's causing your problems. Check it out and see if things don't start working properly within your LAN.
