You can not use a DSL Modem for FAX. Fax is an analogue system and to send fax you need an analogue Modem with fax capabilities.

What you can do is to subscribe to a digital fax which combines Email and Fax. You send an Email and it is delivered as a Fax to the recipient.

Your All in One Printer Scanner Fax will have a phone jack and should have come with a phone cord to plug in to the normal phone outlet. The All in one will send a fax over the phone line, (as already mentioned, it does not connect to your DSL modem).

As you have an All in One with Fax capabilities you don't need a separate modem - just plug it into the phone system.

If you use the fax on the same line as DSL you have to use a DSL filter. This should have been supplied to you by your ISP with the DSL modem. Other wise there will be noise from the DSL signal present on the line the fax is trying to talk on.
