Specs: Windows CE, not sure

I recently just bought a Windows CE Mini netbook. We have internet, and a wireless router in our home. It says i am connected to the internet but when i click on internet explorer, it says "The page cannot be displayed. Cannot find server or DNS error" I put the ISP numbers in correctly, and all that.. but i just cannot figure out why the internet explorer will not connect! any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It would appear you did not put in the dns entry. Review the settings. You should have

set ip address or using dhcp
subnet mask
dns entry

dns entry can be the same as gateway

But there is not a default gatway number given. DO i have to have that in order to get on the internet? If i do i have no idea how to find out what the default gateway number is.

yes it needs a gateway or no internet.

set the wifi to use dhcp assuming you configured your router to provide it. then you will get all of those other settings automatically.

I have the same problem with 2 of the 7" chinese imports. ECP and an F700(I think). They both set up great and give good connection feedback for the router. Once you put the URL in IE the system slows, although it appears to be working. Eventually you get a "//\windows/shdoclcl/dnserror.htm.."and a "cannot find Internet or dns server" (or something similar). I wonder if these imports just don't work. I see compaints all over the internet, but no confirmed solutions. Did you get yours working? If so, how. Does anyone know of one of these 7"ers that connects to the internet successfully. Thanks. Dave
