I am working on a project with my IT Director involving synchronous transmission of a frame with the start flag field that has length 1 byte, control field of length 2 bytes, source address field of length 2 bytes, destination address field of length 2 bytes, data length field of length 1.5 bytes (length measured in bytes), data field (aka payload), checksum field of length 1.5 bytes and end flag field that has length 1 byte . How can I go about resulting the overhead when we transmit 9000 bytes?

No sir, I can see how it does but its a legit project I am working on. I didn't know how to input it to the site so my director tried to help me knowing the sites policy.
