I have old PC with ME and new PC with XP and want to transfer files and programs from the old to the new. Is this possible with the different OS's and if so what cable/s would I need? Any suggestions greatly appreciated Kim xx

to set up a network of the 2 pcs, you will need an ethernet card in each of them, and a crossover cable to go between them. to set up the network, check out www.homenethelp.com for instructions, there is a section there that outlines what you need to do to set up XP as the host and 98/me as client. good luck, this is a question that has asked many times with many answers in this and other forums.
