Ok, as you can see, i have win 3.1 and win 98se. I am wondering if there is a program that will let me transwer all the win 98se files over a phone line. For instance can i connect a phonel ine directly from on computer to the other so i can transwer files directly. What program's can I use or what can i do. please tell me. I don't have a CD-Rom in my laptop if that help explain everything, or any internet explorer, so it's gonna be really hard.

The easiest way is to connect the two computers directly via their serial ports. For that you need a null-modem cable to connect the two. With this each computer "sees" the other as a modem. Null-modem cables or adaptors are not expensive and you will get one at almosy any computer shop.
You can then configure Direct Connection and trasfer files that way. It will be slow - a better way would be to use network card. But unless you have the necessary hardware already, the serial port may be the only option.
