I am not always assured private messages get to where they are sent so I am posting this here.

Start by going to a cmd prompt [Run and type in cmd then hit enter]
In this black command line box type ipconfig and hit enter. Write down the address
Go to a internet working pc and do the same.

What is your ip and what is the working pcs ip address?

If in the same range [all the numbers are the same EXCEPT the one(s) after the last dot] then it may be the firewall [assuming xp or you have zonealarm installed]

Disable the firewall. Ping your gateway address [which you wrote down when you did the ipconfig command] by once again getting into the command line box and type ping (gateway ip address) and see if you get a response.

Report back your findings and we can move up the ladder.

Golly gee wilerkers everyone. Learn to Internet Search
