Hi guys im new to the forums so bare with me...
I have this really annoying problem which seems to be unsolvable, basically I have 2 computers networked together using a cross-over cable, on the main computer (admin) I'm using a 802.11b wireless USB adaptor to connect to the internet. Both computers have the ablity to veiw, edit and exacute files and folders from eachothers computers, so file sharing works great. However I am unable to play LAN games from the client computer or access the internet I disable all firewalls and Zonealarm but still nothing, here are the IP's for both the Admin and client: 192.168.0.1 subnet: 225.225.255.0 (Im not to sure on how to get the default gateway, so maybe you can help me on that too) as for the client: 192.168.0.2 subent: 225.225.225.0 (clueless for the gateway)is it actually possible to share the wireless USB net into the 2? I would also like to play LAN just between the 2, but am unable to do so. Someone said something about allowing game traffic through the network? please help, Merry Christmas, cheers.

The default gateway is the IP addy of the Device on your network that connects your network to the internet. Whether it be another PC or a router.
The reason why the network seems to quit when you set the PC's to auto obtain dns and IP addresses is more than like due to not having DHCP service running on your network, or you don't have netbios over TCP/IP enabled.

Some great tutorials can be found here:
