Specs: N/A

I've been trying to figure out how to use the internet connection on motorola qa30. Downloaded Motoconnect for modem drivers and my XP recognises the qa30 but I'm just getting error msgs trying to connect. Anybody else?

where in the specs do you see you can connect this phone to your pc?

user guide says you can connect with a cable or bluetooth though it only refers to file transfer. hellomoto mentions connection sharing but doesn't specify for qa30.

On page 82 it mentions connecting to a computer using a powered usb port. It also mentions having the right cable.

No mention of any software to load which is a bit strange.
I can't find any mention of connection sharing.

I did see this:
"and supporting software are sold separately"
page 80

I would talk to the folks who sold you the phone.

I played with my motorola W285 and Vista installed it as a modem. This indicates to me you could possibly use it as a dialup. At 28K its not something I will be doing any time soon.

appreciate your help, first off. think internet connection was in the drivers and software section in hellomoto. anyway thats where i downloaded the drivers so my phone was recognized as a motem. but now it either says no dial tone or the modem isn't configured properly or something else. so you installed your moto as a modem but didn't see if it would dial up?oh, think the supporting software refered to is mpt.
