Friends

I have 2 machines.. from which I need to telnet to an mail server through SMTP port.

From Machine A (154.13.18.34), I am able to telnet the mail Server (210.145.92.5) through port 25.

Same policy applied to Machine A is been applied to Machine B (154.13.208.234), but I am not able to telnet the mail server (210.145.92.5).

I am able to telnet between machine A & B.

Kindly let me know, what the problem may be..

Thanks

Praveen

One of two things is happening then...

#1. A firewall on your side or their side is preventing the connection.

#2. Their mail server is configured to not allow SMTP connections from Server B.

Sorry.. I am not able to ping the mail server, as i am aware of only public ip of it..

My both machine A & machine B are behind same firewall and even same policy rules is applied on both the machines.

Mail Server doesnt have any restrictions for Machine B. It same as for Machine A.

Any suggestions..

Thanks

Praveen
