I am running win xp, and when i click on network properties,and there us no icp/ip conenction for my cnet network card, when i click install protocol and click "have disk" but it says " Can't find any information on it " any ideas, I can file share alright, just want to play games mainly.

you need to get the right driver for your NIC card. or try to shutdown your pc and remove the NIC card from the slot and place it again and start your PC, xp will automaticaly detect your NIC card, XP will find a subtitute driver for your card. if that doesnt work you can download the driver for you NIC card and install it.: )

Dont worry about that. Its sounds like you just want to add the TCp/ip protocols to your existing already installed nic. In that case, dont click on "have disk" instead click "add" and then another window will pop up and in the left column click microsoft, and in the right column double-click tcp/ip. Thats it, your all set. TCP/ip is installed!!!
