My taskbar freezes whenever I connect to a network on my wireless. It does so for a length of time (varies, I'm not sure why) before it starts working again. During the freeze, I could still access all my programs and alt-tab my way around. However, items in the tray cannot be retrieved. I am finding this extremely annoying. During that time, if I try to execute a program, it would all pop up immediately after the freeze.

I've checked online but it would seem that everyone has a different way of solving this problem. I am hoping someone would be able to help with mine! I really hope it'll stop doing this.

The network that keeps causing the problem is quite far away (could this be the cause of the problem? I've connected numerous times to this network before this problem began though...) My wireless card (?) was installed with this notebook when I got it, so all I am doing is turning on the wireless button.

Please help me figure out what is wrong. Do not hesitate to ask me for any information. I'd really like to get this problem over with.

Use SPY ++ to try to locate the TASKBAR process, then to see what MESSAGES are going to/from the TASKBAR process.

I am having the SAME EXACT issue, the odd thing is the issue STOPS when I launch SPY++ so I think its some type of malware that probably detects its being watched.

See if the issue stops when starting SPY ++.
