I have given my sister my old computer, its a 98, with Windows 2000 on it, I have an xp now. My question is my sisters computer will not open anything up, I thought I could control it from mine and see if I could see if there is anything on it that I could take off. I tried to clean it before I gave it to her. What is the best way to do it?

Just to try and clarify what you are saying; you are saying that you've recently given an older computer to your sister, this older computer used to use Win98, but now it is using Win2000, but it will no longer "open anything up". What do you mean by "open anything up"? If you are unable to "open anything up" on this older computer by using the keyboard, mouse, and moniter connected to it, then there is not going to be any way to "take control of it" from your newer WinXP computer.
