hello
I got a little home network with a zyxel router. everything worked fine. now I got this problem here. if i look for a computer name in the network neighbourhood I don't find it anymore. if i look for the ip of this computer then it works fine. I didn't change anything but since today I got this problem. I don't use any firewall. I am not a beginner and I set up lots and lots of computers for this network, only with this one I experience this problem. I enabled NetBIOS over TCP/UP in the WINS menu, but also USE NetBIOS. Sometimes I get the error message 6118, sometimes it shows only itself, although there are 3 other computers running in the network at the moment. I deinstalled the NIC completely and installed it again, tried quite a lot of things, but still no success. a friend of mine experience the same and couldn't solve the problem, he installed the whole system again, even with another NIC, but still no success. so I am pretty clueless. maybe one of you knows how to fix this problem? obviously I am not the only one. thanx very much appreciated.
