subnet masks...and routers

Specs: Windows XP
when we do subnetting, then do we have to add new routers?? coz we simply wanting to add more broadcast domain. and secondly does the information abt subnet mask is also propagated outside(means out of local network)?? does the outside network has to do anything wid the subnetting of this particular network??

Q1 yes you use routers to connect different subnets

Q2 question is unclear. Does the subnet on one side of the router to go to the other side of the router? No

i mean if a host is requesting a webpage...then alongwid it's ip address, is subnet mask also sent to the outside network (the internet)
