I have a extremely overpriced and underpowered Spanish internet connection which seems to exist to screw with me. It seems being the only game in town, advertising at 4 mbps but delivering no higher than 300 kbps, and crashing constantly isn't enough, now my computer is getting in on the fun.

When plugged directly into my modem/router my connection will regularly go down, and all I have to do to bring it back up is disable my connection then re-enable it. Repairing does not work, assigning a static IP works for a while but then it goes down until I go back to automatically acquiring. I also have a wireless router plugged into my main modem/router and the 2 people connected to it do not have the same problem(but it does crash constantly so I want to remain wired).

My modem/router is a "officeconnect 0900" adsl router, and I have a Belkin FD58231-4 wireless router plugged in(but disconnecting it changes nothing).

Start with event viewer for clues as to why it crashes. Might have to config and view dump logs.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

Ok, in my event viewer I am finding:

1000 1003 1007 8003 4226

That seem to be perhaps related to my issue.

It just happened, here is what I have in my event viewer under system.

8033, 1003, then 1000 all at the moment it went down.
