Comment: Ok, I moved recently. I bought a wireless router. 1)I can connect to most websites but altavista,target.com I cannot access. There may be others but I haven't used it that much. 2)It resolves dns. I can go to a dos prompt and type "ping target.com" it responds pinging and the ip address but I get a response timed out message. 3)I have checked my "hosts" file for redirects, and run spbot and adaware. I also have trend's pc-cillan updated to check for virus's. 4)I obtain a wan address and dns through dhcp. I have tried releasing and renewing my wan. What else can I try? Like I said it works for most sites:cnn.com,cinescape etc.. Mike

Reply: (edit)Is your NIC intergrated? I had a problem with a client that had an intergrated NIC that had speratic problems like that. He went from only 1 or 2 sites to eventually no where... I replaced it with a PCI card and boom problem solved... Mike
