Ive had no issues with my wireless network for months but now my main pc seems to have an intermitted connection with strange behaviour.

Its a wireless lan access point (netgear wg111v2) connected to a sky wireless router (netgear). Now the other 2 pc's connect to the net with no issues at all. THis pc now will connect and browse with no issues on mozilla firefox but will not connect with IE and comes up with the work offline selection box, and when i click connect it says it cant. I play lord of teh rings online and it wont connect, but yet here i am posting on this forum with no problems via mozilla. And the java scane had no problems connecting. I have swapped over the wireless access device to a belkin, reinstalled drivers, reset the rounter but teh problem remains exactly teh same, and now i dont know what else i can do.. its the first time ive ever had this sort of problem in 6 years of running my home network.

I can access the router from this pc no problems, i have no firewall or windows firewall operating on this system, and i have reset all the rules on teh rounter set up.

Any help and guidance gratefully recieved!

You did a lot of work for nothing because if the problem is only with one browser, it has nothing to do with drivers or the access point.

Open IE, go to tools, internet options and connections. Click setup and go through the setup again.
