i keep getting booted from a game on -line is there any ports that i need to open on the router?

What is your ISP's Speed. Some games have a bandwidth requirement or you will automatically get booted.

Also, ware you using WiFi? If so you may have poor signal. Try switching the WiFi channel, or move closer to the router, or best to be connected directly when playing games.
