I need some help here. Maybe I'm looking too deep into this, but...here goes.
I have a small business that wants broadband setup....fair enough. The system consists of 10 PC's and I have setup the system as follow:
Broadband-->Cable Modem-->Linksys Router (BEFSR41 4 port router)-->24 port hub-->10 PC's
When using the setup CD, the PC's had access to the internet (Using Dynamically assigned IP's)
However, it was determined that a point of sale software that used on a dedicated server must have the PC's given a Static IP (Took me damn near all night to figure out what happened and set the PC back to what they were!!).How do I setup the PC/router to Static IP PC's??
Right now, the router is setup under DHCP (I assume I have to disable that as the router is trying to assign and IP to the PC's).
Any takers?

You're on the right track... Disable DHCP on the Linksys. Configure the static IP's on all the PC's and use the Linksys IP address as their deafult gateway.

yep, disable dhcp service on the router. But remember the router must recieve an ip dynamically (most likely), so dont disable the wrong setting. make sure when you assign ip's to all the computers, you make sure they are all on the same subnet.
