Ok, let me start out by saying, I am SICK of opeining port 1723 and some other random ports on my Linksys WRT300N Router, which NEVER works. VPN Keeps Dropping, ports get occupied, etc. I think its my ISP who keeps dropping it, not my router.

Well thats my expression with my VPN issue. Even though my router is a household router, giving all my workstations and servers access to the internet an at the same time, letting me host websites with my Static IP I have, My Router has everything I really want for my network.

What bothers me is that, I can't get simple VPN to work. I am looking for a simple solution which only requires me to open ONE port.

My question is would SSL Work? How do I get it to work with Routing and Remote Access?

Otherwise, what other 3rd party software is out there which are better than Routing and Remote Access? How exactly do I configure OpenVPN to act like Routing and Remote Access?

Any help would be appreciated :).

How about Remote Desktop? It's already built in to Windows?

I want to have remote client log in to the network and also they can access the files. Right now, we are using Remote Desktop, however, file sharing is a pain, so I am thinking VPN would better for this.

See also barracudadrive. NOT the barracude hard drive but the file server software.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
