Speeds slow considerably after router reset

Specs: Windows 7
I have DSL through Bellsouth (I live in South Florida.) We pay for the 6 MB Up and the 512 KB down. However, we used to be accustomed to getting speeds in excess of 750kb/s, and rarely it went lower than 500 kb/s.

However, about two weeks ago the speed slowed considerably. No hardware or software changes were made. The whole network just bogged down.

Now, whenever you reset the router, the internet is at it's former glory for a few minutes, then it slowly slows down. Now, it's not just a single computer. It's like this for every computer individually in the whole house.

And I'm not talking about just P2P. I'm downloading a 7 gig file from a very popular company, and my speeds ping up to about 450 kb/s, then slowly go down to about 50-100kb/s.

I updated my network drives, the drives on one of the routers is up to date, and I'm not exactly sure how to check the other one.

You see:
We use a Westell 327w as a modem, and it's hardwired to a WRTU54G-TM, which is for Tmobile phone over the internet. That is then wirelessly connected to all the PCs in the house.

I'm not really sure why this is happening but will gladly give you more details if needed.

I think you mean 6Mb down and 512K up? But anyway, try this simple test: plug a computer straight into the modem and see how that works. At least that will help you narrow it down.
