Hi:
I wrote recently about long ping times, and I have since realized that they are fairly normal with an Ad Hoc Network. I can't easily go to a router, because I can only get dialup where I live, and the router screws up the Internet Connection Sharing. Is there any way to speed up file transfers on an ad hoc peer to peer network? I read about a different protocol rather than just using TCP/IP. I found some reference to an AdHoc Transfer Protocol, but could find out little about it. Any other protocols I could install with Windows XP that might work better for file transfers? I am not worried about my internet connection, as the wireless is fast enough for that, but file transfers and Windows Explorer is REALLY slow over the network....13 megs in 30 minutes. Any suggestions would be really welcome. Thanks
