For the last couple of weeks i have been able to connect to the internet but not to some sites (myspace, yahoo mail, msn, windows, few others). I have since check on my roommates computer which works fine, changed connection ports, changed IP, used both spyware and virus programs, changed security settings. I have search my reg files to see if sites are blocked, they are not. This is not a simple "the sites are restricted" problem. Can anyone help more more then what i have tried already? I have not been able to change the settings for my IPv4 settings though which don't show up in internet advance options. One blog suggested this.

I have exactly this problem too! I have a PC running Vista Home Premium. It is connected by ethernet to a D-Link wireless router. It has an internet connection and can access some websites - Google, Yahoo etc.. but cannot access sites like Myspace, YouTube, Ebay, Paypal! If the D-Link router is replaced with an "ordinary" ADSL modem (in this case a Speedtouch) then full access to all websites is possible. All this using Internet Explorer 7.
In addition, a wireless connection to a Toshiba laptop, running XP, gives the same problem; limited website access using the D-link but full access if the Speedtouch is connected.
I have tried all sorts of things so far - resetting the router, resetting the TCP/IP, uninstalling Explorer 7 and re-installing Explorer 6, trying Firefox and Opera etc.. I even changed the router for a Netgear. Nothing made any difference. I have now run out of ideas so anyone got any suggestions or come across this problem before?

Just contact your isp provider or OeM of your mode/router. If it's hardware issue then maybe your modem or ISP.

Chck if you hav parental control software..hihihihi...

delete cookies and intrnet temp files...

First my problem has nothing to do with my switch/ADSL pluging into my switch or directly into the ADSL gives my computer (and only my computer where as my flatmates computer works fine using the same components and network even on my ethernet cord) the same problem. And yes i wish it was a simple problem of deleting old internet files and cookies. Could it be that my computer's ISP is blocked from these sites? And it is hard to talk to my ISP provider since i am in germany and cant speak the language.
